TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Swansea have a mini crisis in defence. Chico is suspended while Kyle Bartley and Neil Taylor both have long term injuries. Swansea like to play the open expansive football and up until Aston Villa last time out everything clicked. With a weakened defence Swansea were put under intense pressure and could not handle Aston Villa's powerful play. This is likely to be replicated by Everton who have the better personel at their disposal too. Swansea's attack of Danny Graham with Michu arriving late and the widemen of Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge joining in relies a lot on ball retention from the middle and this was not in evidence at the weekend.
Everton's game is quick passing and relies on clever movement from all angles. Their chief supply line comes from the left hand side with Baines and Pienaar responsible for most of the chances created. Fellaini is the outlet for the longer ball and Jelavic patrols the box and if presented with any chances is usually lethal. Strong at the back and with defensive cover in the middle Everton are a very strong outfit. The 2-2 draw with Newcastle was more to do with two excellent finishes from Newcastle who offered little in a game Everton dominated. Everton are only missing Darron Gibson but have sufficient cover in the middle.
