WEST BROM V READING PREDICTION STATS
West Brom have started well even after a seemingly impossible fixture list. They have 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. They have beaten Liverpool and Everton with a 3 goal and a 2 goals margin which is impressive stuff. They lost to Fulham by a 3 goal margin last time out. Their games are averaging 2.50 goals
Reading are yet to win in three games as they sit near the bottom with 1 draw and 2 defeats. They have lost to Chelsea by 2 goals and Spurs by the same margin. They are averaging 4 goals a game as their defence struggles to cope with Premiership attacks.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

West Brom have surprised everyone so far with their intelligent attacking brand of football. Soaking up pressure at the back and relying on quick breaking attackers Steve Clarke appears to have took to management with ease; This did fall apart in the last game but is more to do with the indiscipline shown by Peter Odemwingie who lashed out and was sent off. All hope for The Baggies was lost and so were the three points. Odemwingie is suspended while midfielder Jerome Thomas is out. Defender Goran Popov and Steven Reid are highly unlikely to figure due to injury.
Reading are struggling to adapt to the huge increase in quality opposition in the Premiership. They are having a go at sides and have scored goals with Pavel Pobgrebnyak looking dangerous upfront, but defensively they are out of their depth. They have the one of the weakest backlines in the top flight and will have to try to curb their attacking instincts in order to win points.

A draw is selected here (3.90 Pinnacle) as I fancy the home side to dip after their big loss against Fulham exposed a few weaknesses. West Brom seem to suit the underdog status and I fear they may struggle when they have to set the pace and the do the attacking. Odemwingie is absent and although he is a top player he does seem sat odds with Clarke and I woudn't be surprised if he left in January. Reading have ability going forward and caused Chelsea several problems at times in the opening game.

This is a tight game for me and I cannot see West Brom dominating the match as they are expected to. Reading will take heart from their recent displays as they have shown glimpses of improvement.
