Another cracking match up on what is for sure a “Super Sunday” – Liverpool host Man City which was a reprisal of the neck and neck fight for the Premiership last season. Liverpool started badly this year with the loss of Suarez and the missing Sturridge hitting them hard. However of late they have been superb in the league. Moving up to 6th after a long league unbeaten run of 10 games with 7 wins and 3 games. They have not lost in league since mid Decemeber. Home form is good with 6 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats. Liverpool lost in midweek 1-0 and went the whole 120 minutes to lose on pens to Besiktas. However they will have fresh players available with Coutinho, Henderson, Johnson and Sakho all not travelling. Gerrard and Lucas are out for sure. Man City go into this one knowing they can cut the lead to Chelsea to 2 points. They welcome back Yaya Toure and have his countryman Bony available. No other injury problems for Man City.
Although I give full respect to Liverpool and their achievements so far I have to side with City here. They have the quality in all areas. They will be able to rotate a little from midweek with no real loss of quality. Liverpool may have a few heavy legged players after Thursdays loss. I side with city at -0.25. We get paid on the win and and a half stakes return if it’s a draw.
