Just when things could not conceivably get any worse for Man United after a midweek aggregate loss to hated rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford they come up against neighbours City at Etihad. Indeed City are now only 1 point clear of West Ham in 4^th and may struggle to get back into UCL with any more bad results. United  are showing 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.  They form is up and down and their actual football is like that as long balls to Fellaini seem the order of the day. The big Belgian seems to have instructions to foul every single member of the opposing side and see if can elbow as many of them as possible. United are in 6^th with 47 points, just 4 behind City.
