My selection here is more against Newcastle than with Man City. Against the big boys the Toon just seem to wilt. They don’t have much about them these days. Man City are in 2nd position with a gap to Chelsea of 7 points. Home form for them shows 7 wins, 3 draws 2 and losses. They are 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss in last 6. Not vintage City by any means. However here they will have Toure back from Africa and Bony too for his debut. Sergio Aguero is passed fit but James Milner misses out. Toon are in poor form with 1 win, 3 draws and 2 losses in last 6. They are down to 11th with 32 points. They will miss a legion of players here with Remy Cabella, Siem de Jong, Cheick Tiote, Steven Taylor, Paul Dummet all out. Infact Newcastle just have 4 fit defenders left.
A full strength Newcastle would be struggling here so I don’t see how this patchwork side will hold the 2nd best side in England. With Aguero back and Toure in midfield I see goals. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bony register either.
