Man United host Sunderland in a match that isn’t exactly the game of the day here but we could get some payout. Sunderland are down to 16th with 25 points from 26 games. They are just 3 points off the drop zone now. Recent league form sees just 1 win in 7 games. Anthony Reveillere is back in defence but Billy Jones is out. Midfield misses Emanuele Giaccherini and Jack Rodwell but Buckley should be fit. Man Utd continue to vex but I believe we may be able to make money by following at home and either laying or leaving alone on the road. Old Trafford is back to a fortress again under Van Gaal. They have played 13 games and have won 10, drew 1 and lost 2 – Scoring 28 which is most in league and conceding 10 which only Chelsea can better. Man Utd will be without Carrick here and slight doubts over Van Persie and Wilson but both should be ok.
I take the -1.25 handicap for a few reasons. I do like United at home – they have all the confidence and their game plans seem to be better executed on home soil. Plus Sunderland are pants and once more Poyet has been found out. He has yet to really impress as a manager and I see a heavy loss here. We get paid on a 2 goal win, 1 goal win sees half stakes refund.
