MANCHESTER CITY V EVERTON PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Manchester City are second in the EPL with 32 points from 14 games and remain undefeated with 9 wins and 5 draws.  They have scored 1.93 goals per game and conceded 0.71 for a total goal difference of +17.  Their recent form has seen 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 matches with an aggregate score of 8-1, 2 of the 5 games ended with over 2.5 goals.

Everton are 6^th in the table with 22 points from 14 games, having won 5, drawn 7 and lost 2.  They have scored 1.71 goals per game while conceding 1.29 for a total goal difference of +6.  Their recent form has seen 1 win, 3 draws and 1 defeat in their last 5 games with an aggregate score of 7-7.  3 of the 5 games ended with over 2.5 goals.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

City struggled midweek to break down an orangised Wigan side and had to resort to their often ridiculed 3-5-2 formation to get the breakthrough.  It worked well in this game as it matched the Wigan formation and allowed the superior quality of the City players to shine through.  Against Everton they will come up against a traditional 4 at the back where they will be better matched with their 4-5-1 formation in my opinion.  Carlos Tevez has been on the bench for the past two games so expect him to get the start in this game.

Everton have not won for 4 games and are struggling to kill teams off when they are dominating games.  They will again be missing Kevin Mirallas who was looking good before his injury and I’d expect the same line-up as they had against Arsenal in midweek.
