MANCHESTER CITY V NEWCASTLE UNITED PREDICTIONS

Manchester City look like finishing 2^nd in the Premier League this season and are well behind rivals Manchester United.  With 59 points from 29 matches in 2^nd position they are closer to 7^th place Liverpool than leaders Manchester United who are 15 points ahead.  With just 2 wins in their last 5 matches they haven’t been closing the gap and will be happy to finish in 2^nd place with their current form.

Newcastle are down in 13 in the Premier League this year, a far cry from their excellent 5^th place finish last term.  They are just 6 points ahead of the relegation places and a run of poor results could drag them back into the fight.  4 wins and 3 defeats in their last 7 games have done enough to keep them ahead of the relegation sides but they still need to pick up 3 or 4 more wins over their remaining matches to be safe.

Manchester City will be without Richards and Rodwell for this match but they expect Aguerro and Maicon to be fit in time.  Newcastle have a lengthier list with Santon, Haidara, Ben Arfa, Coloccini, Krul, Vuckic and Taylor all likely to be missing.
