MANCHESTER UNITED V MANCHESTER CITY PREDICTIONS

The tie of the weekend takes place on Monday night and sees the top 2 in the Premier League take the field for a match which may not mean much in the title race but will mean no less to the fans of both clubs.

Manchester United are top of the Premiership with 77 points from 30 games and have been a class above domestically this year.  They have won 7 straight games in the league and 12 straight at home!  The league may well be won for United but they’ll want to show City who the biggest club is and do the double over their rivals this season.

Manchester City are 2^nd in the EPL with 62 points from 30 games, leaving them 15 points behind their rivals.  With another early exit in the Champions League this has not been a good season for them and it could spell the end for manager Roberto Mancini unless they finish the season strong, winning this game and the FA Cup.

United are sweating on the fitness of a number of players with Rooney, Vidic, Evans and Scholes all last minute decisions for the game.  City will also be giving late fitness tests to Silva, Nasri, Nastasic and Rodwell so it’s important to check latest team news before the match starts.
