MANCHESTER UNITED V WEST HAM UNITED PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Manchester United are top of the EPL after 13 games with 30 points.  They have won 10, drawn 0 and lost 3 with an average of 2.46 goals scored and 1.38 conceded.  Their recent form has been strong with 4 wins in their last 5 and just one shock loss away at Norwich.  The aggregate score of those 5 games was 11-7 and 4 of the 5 ended with over 2.5 goals.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Manchester United again resumed top spot in the league at the weekend after Manchester City and Chelsea drew.  They have won 6 of their last 7 matches and have a few matches ahead that they should easily win, before going to visit City at the Etihad. 

United are still without Nani, Vidic, Valencia and Kagawa who are all first team players but their squad is big enough to cope.  They have seen league goals from 14 players this season which shows the strength in depth they have throughout the squad, even when one player is struggling they have others who can step up.

West Ham made a great start to the season but have fallen away slightly recently.  Injuries have not helped and they will be without Benayoun, Diarra, Vaz Te and Collison this week, all of whom would be featuring in the first team.  Andy Carroll got his first league goal for West Ham last week which manager Sam Allardyce will hope is the first of many this season and beyond if they purchase him outright from Liverpool after his loan spell.  He has linked up very well with old Newcastle teammate Kevin Nolan to lead the attack for West Ham.
