NEWCASTLE UNITED - FULHAM: PREDICTIONS

Newcastle are without a win in the league and indeed have yet to even score a goal. They opened up with an away tie with Man City, losing 4-0 in an immensely one sided fixture. Going a man down early did not help and they were never in the game. Second match was a fairly even 0-0 home match with West Ham. Newcastle again appeared laboured in the match and seemed fairly disjointed again. A few missing men for Toon with Ryan and Steven Taylor out at the back. Midfield sees Check Tiote out and Gutierrez highly doubtful while upfront problems with new signing Loic Remy has  knock but should be available.

Fulham have had a low key start to their Premiership season. A 1-0 win at Sunderland was the opener but involved some ultra defensive tactics from Martin Jol. They followed that up with a poor home defeat to Arsenal. Losing 3-1 in another game in which they never really got going. Fulham are without without Maarten Stekelenburg, Fernando Amorebieta and Kieran Richardson. Darren Bent looked sharp in midweek and I would expect him to feature more heavily for The Cottagers.

NEWCASTLE UNITED - FULHAM: BETTING TIPS       

This game looks very likely to be a close game. Fulham have surprised me so far with their lack of attacking intentions. Newcastle seem to be struggling in the final third and even with the addition of Remy I expect him to take a few games to bed in. I like the low goals here and think this could be a repeat of the Sunderland v Fulham match. Single goal could take it for either side. I take Under 2.5 goals at 1.80 with WilliamHill.
