TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Reading are in real trouble of falling away at the bottom of the EPL.  They are 19^th position at the moment but are 6 points away from safety already and are in the worst form of anyone in the league.  They can’t even blame injuries or suspensions as they have been relatively lucky in that regard through the season.  Unless there are a few big signings in January then I think it’ll be a one season trip to the EPL for Reading this time round.

Arsenal are under huge pressure after a disastrous midweek lose in the League Cup against Bradford City.  There are many Arsenal fans now calling for change from the top and unless Arsenal pick up almost maximum points over the Christmas period then the shouts for change for only get louder.  I still think Arsenal will finish 4^th this year as they have the 4^th strongest squad in the league and know how to put a strong run together to get there but there is a real chance of them missing out on the top 4 and failing to qualify for the Champions League next year which would be a disaster for them.

Arsenal are big favourites here.  The question is how will they bounce back after their midweek disappointment, they played a full strength side and they looked disinterested and poor.  Only so many changes can be made from that side so they have to hope the players themselves put in more effort and fight for the win here.

I think they will have too much for Reading, and they really can’t afford another slip up.
