United kept top spot this week after a shaky 1-0 win at home to West Ham with Robin Van Persie getting his 9^th goal of the season.  United have not been on top form lately but are still managing to rack up the wins and with players like Valencia, Nani, Kagawa and Vidic to come back things are looking up.

The real test for United will come next week when they visit neighbours City in a top of the table clash, they will want to ensure they go into that game in top spot and will need a win here to do that.

United are big favourites here to win away from home.  Before their last away match at Norwich which they lost 1-0, United had won 5 straight away from home.  They will be confident they can get back to winning ways here and with such a close title race they’ll know they can’t afford another slip up.
