STOKE CITY V CHELSEA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Stoke have a top 3 defensive record in the EPL this year and have conceded less than a goal a game.  But unlike the other top defences in Manchester City and Chelsea they have trouble scoring and have the third worst record in the league.  Stoke have no major injury worries with just Marc Wilson and Rory Delap missing and they will be able to pick a basically full strength team.

Chelsea will be angry at the unacceptable 1-0 loss at home to QPR last week.  They should have taken back 3^rd place from Tottenham and began looking ahead at catching the two leaders but instead they within 4 points of 5 placed Arsenal and have a real fight on their hands to keep their top 4 place.  Having John Terry injured for so long seems to have really affected their defence and the amount of mistakes they have been making recently is very un-Chelsea like.  This is exasperated with Cech now injured and Turnbull having to start in goals.

Chelsea are favourites here despite last week’s poor result.  Away from home they have won 3 in a row.  Stoke have a fortress at home however and had not lost in a huge 17 EPL matches, spanning last season and this.
