Sunderland’s main problem this season has been scoring goals and before last week’s 3 goals against Fulham they had the league’s lowest goals scored total.  Their defence is solid and organised with just over a goal per game conceded but they are far too reliant on Steven Fletcher up front who has scored 6 of their 10 total goals.

WBA have been very impressive this season with some fantastic results, especially against Chelsea and Liverpool.  Their record away from home isn’t quite up to their home form however with just 1 win away from home against Wigan.  The confidence of winning 3 in a row will make them feel they can get a result here however and they certainly have the quality.

Sunderland are small favourites as the home side for this game.  The question is whether the 3 goals last week against Fulham were a one off or are more a mark of a greater attacking threat going forward. 

WBA have been immense this season at home but it hasn’t always translated to their away form, they are coming off an away win at Wigan however.

I think the value here is in the Draw at 3.40 with Stan James.
