SWANSEA V SOUTHAMPTON PREDICTIONS

Despite contrasting first half’s of the season there are only 3 points between the sides now and Southampton could finish ahead of Swansea in the table quite easily.

Swansea are 9^th in the table with 41 points from 32 matches which has them comfortably 10 points ahead of the relegation fight.  They have been top half for the majority of the year but 3 defeats and a draw in their last 4 games have seen them fall back closer to the bottom half.

Southampton are 12^th in the EPL with 38 points from 33 games, at times this year they were looking like definite relegation candidates but a strong second half of the season under manager Mauricio Pochettino has seen them pull well clear of the fight at the bottom.  3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 games have shown just how far they have come, including wins over Liverpool and Chelsea.

Swansea are expecting to have a full team to choose form as Neil Taylor recovers from his long term injury.  Southampton will also be at full strength with Luke Shaw expected to be fit after a virus.
