WEST HAM UNITED V EVERTON PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

West Ham are 11^th in the table with 23 points from 17 matches, winning 6, drawing 5 and losing 6.  They have scored 1.24 goals per game and conceded 1.18 for a total goal difference of +1.  Their recent form has seen 1 win, 1 draw and 3 defeats with an aggregate score of 6-8.  3 of the 5 games ended with over 2.5 goals.

Everton are 6^th in the EPL with 27 points from 17 matches, winning 6, drawing 9 and losing 2.  They have scored 1.65 goals per game while conceding 1.24 for a total goal difference of +7.  Their recent form has seen 1 win and 4 draws in their last 5 matches with an aggregate score of 6-5.  Just 1 of the 5 games ended with over 2.5 goals.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

West Ham had a great start to the season and are a full 8 points away from the relegation zone, which makes their initial goal of EPL survival look very likely.  They have fallen away lately however with just 1 win in their last 6 matches, which has coincided with a host of injuries to first team players.  They’ll be struggling in midfield with influential midfielder Diame missing along with McCartney, Diarra, Vaz Te, Collison, Benayoun and Carroll.  A number of whom would be first choice players.

Everton will of course be without Fellaini for the next 3 matches after his outrageous head-butt last week against Stoke, and they are fortunate it is only 3 matches.  They have their own injury worries too with Miralles, Hibbert, Anichebe and Neville missing.  Everton have lost just twice this year which is second best in the league but they are drawing far too many matches, a league leading 9, and are throwing away points as a result.   They must start turning these draws into wins by either getting the second goal when they go ahead or by concentrating defensively and keeping the clean sheet.

Everton are small favourites despite being the away side but the market is tight.  Everton have drawn 4 of their last 5 away matches and have a habit of conceding in every game.

I think the smart money for this game will be on the Draw.  Go to Stan James to back it at 3.40.
