You sometimes have to give credit where its due and Sam Allardyce has to get it from me here. I don’t like the man himself but his current results are very good. His West Ham side are up to 5^th with 17 points after 5 win, 2 draws and 3 losses. At home he has 3 wins and 2 defeats. Recent form sees 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss with three consecutive home wins – over Liverpool, Man City and QPR – strong indeed. He will be without Demel in defence here but Andy Carroll could make the bench. This is the strongest and most balanced West Ham side for years and they are one to follow for sure. Aston Villa in contrast are in a terrible state. Sitting in 16^th with 10 points they have sunk down after a run of defeats. Away form shows 2 wins and 3 defeats but just 2 goals scored on their travels. A recent run of 6 straight losses includes just the 1 goal and 15 conceded! Key men missing too with Hutton and Senderos out from the back. Influential midman Delph out while returning striker Benteke is out here. The Belgian has been way off the pace since his major injury and misses out here.

Inform against out of form. West Ham are traditionally strong at home and would be a good bet here anyway. However home wins over Man City and Liverpool, with 2 solid performances show that the Irons are moving up to challenge this season. They do have an excellent squad nowadays and strength in all areas. Great home bet here at good odds.
