West Ham host Newcastle in the last game of Round 5 on Monday night. West Ham have had a very strange start to the season with 2 home losses and 2 away wins. Trouncing Liverpool at Anfield last game 3-0 and beating Arsenal 2-0 at Emirates. Two superb results, but sandwiched around 2 losses at home to Leicester and Bournemouth. West Ham are without Adrian, Song, Valencia. While there are doubts over Carroll and Moses. Newcastle are still chasing a 1st win of the season after 2 draws and 2 losses. Its not all doom and gloom at St James as they look a bit more sturdy under Steve McClaren. I wont be backing them much this season apart from big handicaps though as I still think they are lacking in several areas. They are without the attackers Marveux, Mitrovic and Riviere for this one.
West Ham look like a team with a plan, the only thing is it basically involves hammering teams with Champions League aspirations away from home. Slavan Bilic is a quality manager and he will get it right so Hammers are consistent. They were very well organised at Anfield and destroyed Liverpool in clinical fashion. I take them to grab their 1st home win against an average Newcastle.
