Wigan are trying to stay ahead of the relegation fight this season but they are only 2 points ahead of Villa in 18^th place.  In the last few seasons they have been in the relegation zone for most of the season before pulling off remarkable late runs to earn survival and will be keen not to need the same this year.  They again lost a few first team players in the summer with Viktor Moses moving to Chelsea and Rodallega and Diame leaving on frees.  The team looks to have coped with that well however and replacements were in place quickly to pick up the slack.

Reading are finding it tough in their first season back in the EPL.  They are currently outside the relegation zone but only on goal difference and are in the fight for the drop.  It is these matches against fellow relegation candidates that will ultimately decide their fate so they need to go into these games with the confidence that they can get a result.
