LILLE V BREST PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS

Lille came back in the top half of the ranking after a difficult start. They are now standing in 8^th position with a record of 4 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses. When playing on their pitch, they have an average record of 2-2-1, but those two wins were the last two home fixtures, 2-0 over Ajaccio and 2-1 over Valenciennes. Both teams are pretty much at the same level as today’s guests.

Brest has won 4 times, drew once, and lost 6 games. That makes them 13^th of Ligue 1, which is decent for such a team, whose objective is just to stay in this first league. When they are playing away, it is a real problem though. They are the worst team of the league, with 6 losses in 6 games. They scored only 3 times against 14 goals conceded.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Lille brought back an important winning from their trip in Evian. They won 2-0 with goals from Nolan Roux and Florent Balmont. It seems like the offensive players are finally starting to find each other on the pitch, which wasn’t the case until a couple weeks ago. It still has to be improved, but that will naturally come game after game. Hosting such a weak away team might be the proper moment to work on that.

Brest also won an important game, at home, 2-0 over Lorient. But it looks like they become a different team when they have to travel. They conceded only 3 goals in 5 home games, which is great compared to the rest of the league, but away they don’t seem to know how to defend anymore.

Lille is logically set as big favorite. You can back them at 1.36 with William Hill, the draw is at 5 with Betfair, and Brest to win its first away game is offered at 13.4 with Pinnacle. With such a huge odd, the value is on Brest side, but I really don’t think that Lille is the good place to start taking points.

LILLE V BREST PREDICTIONS: ASIAN HANDICAP PREVIEW

Lille -1.25 is at 1.87 with Pinnacle, and Brest +1.25 reaches 2.06 with BetVictor. I would back the home side here, as Brest already conceded 3+ goals 3 times out of their 6 away games. It could be another heavy loss here.
