LYON V EVIAN STATS AND FACTS

Lyon are the new leader of this Ligue 1 after their 2-1 win in Troyes, while PSG were drawing at home against Ajaccio. Lyon are very consistent at home this season as they are 8-1-1. Evian are on the opposite side of the table (18^th) but they still have a decent chance to keep their spot in Ligue 1 as they remain only one point away from the 15^th. They are on a run of 3 losses in a row though. When playing away from home, their record is 3-0-7.

TEAM NEWS AND 1X2 PREDICTIONS

Even though Lyon managed to bring back 3 points from Troyes, everyone agreed on the fact that Troyes would have deserved at least one point. Their star striker Lisandro Lopez surprisingly decided not to be Lyon’s captain anymore, which can be explained by the fact that he’s considering signing for another team (Juventus?). It would be a huge loss in terms of skills and experience, but he’s still here and playing at the moment. There is no suspension or any injury in Lyon’s squad so Remi Garde will be able to enjoy his favourite starting eleven. He might change a player in the midfield, but there is no doubt that both defense and offense lines will remain the same. Evian’s squad will be missing a total of 10 players, mostly because of the Africa Cup of Nations and some suspensions.
