Nice are still stuck to their very surprising 4th position. They won 9 games, drew in 8 and lost just 4 matches. When playing home in Stade du Ray, they are doing amazingly well with a 7-3-1 record (6 wins in a row). Their last two Ligue 1 fixtures were two very nice performances: a 5-0 home win over Valenciennes, followed by a 2-0 win in Lille. The only black mark is their loss in Coupe de France this week, against Nancy who is much poorer on the paper.
Bordeaux are in 7th position (7-11-3). When playing away from home they won 4 games, drew in 5 and lost 2. Last week they got a 1-0 home loss against Paris, stopping a 8-games long run without any loss.

Bordeaux has just lost Gouffran who left for Newcastle. Moreover, Maurice-Belay is injured and Diabaté left for the African Cup of Nations. Coach Francis Gillot said he will do what he can, but is not so confident about his squad for this game. They are aware that they are not playing well lately, and that this game could be really difficult if they don’t show enough motivation.
