NICE V MARSEILLE PREDICTIONS  

This is the most exciting game of this Ligue 1 round in my eyes. It has been ages, actually maybe never, that those two rivals had to play each other with such good rankings.

Nice is 5th of this year’s table, with a total of 48 points. They were clearly not expected that high in the rankings, but that’s a young very talented squad, driven by a good and experienced coach, Claude Puel (former Lille and Lyon coach). When playing home, they have won 9 of their 15 games, drawing in 4 and losing 2. They have lost one of their most promising player in Valentin Eysseric though, after he has been suspended for the rest of the season.

Marseille will try and hold this 3rd spot in the last day but their margin over their opponents is decreasing week after week. They remain on two draws, a very good one in Lyon (2^nd) and then a poor one, 0-0 at home against Ajaccio (13^th). When playing away, they have a solid 7-3-5 record, but haven’t won in their last 6 trips.

To prevent any issue between fans from both sides, there will be no Marseille fans at all, although it’s very close.

NICE – MARSEILLE BETTING TIPS

I expect a very tight game with probably much more cards than goals. Marseille has the best team on the paper, but Nice has shown much more talent and solidarity in 2013.
