VALENCIENNES V ST-ETIENNE PREDICTIONS   

These teams pretty much have opposite dynamics in this Ligue 1 end of season. Valenciennes keeps on going down in the table as they won just one of their last 12 games. They have conceded 7 goals in their last two games and are now one of the worst defences    of the league. When playing home, they have an average 7-4-4 record (with two losses in the last two home games). Valenciennes still has 6 points ahead of Nancy (18^th) which should   be enough, unless they keep the same awful pace.

St-Etienne is the brand new 3^rd of Ligue 1. With an amazing run in 2013 (only team in Europe who hasn’t lost this year yet), this is well deserved. That made them even happier that they  took this spot to Lyon, their historical biggest rivals. However, they still have the same number of points as Lyon, so that will be an intense fight until the last round. When playing away, St-Etienne has a solid 5-8-2 record.
