Kaiserslautern lost out on promotion to the Bundesliga with defeat to Hoffenheim in the play off, but had started well in their quest to get back into the top flight until a heavy defeat at Aalen. Cottbus have won both home matches, but have just one point from three games away and striker Sanogo who has six goals already is suspended along with defender Bittroff after red cards at Aue last week.
