Bayer Leverkusen v Borussia M’Gladbach predictions & betting tips

Bayer Leverkusen has won their two first matches in the Bundesliga. Last weekend they won 1-0 away to Stuttgart just like I predicted at 2.10 and 1.525 for the draw no bet. I missed on the total goals prediction. The overall result was fine though, and I hope you made good money. Leverkusen also hit the woodwork once in that game. However, overall it was a fairly balanced tie. Bayer Leverkusen has done well even if exceptional talent like Schurrle and Carvajal has left. Sidney Sam has come in for Schurrle who left for Chelsea. He’s done really great with his pace and eye for goal. Leverkusen will be right up there fighting for Champions League football.

Borussia Moenchengladbach won like I predicted at 1.75 against Hannover. My Over 2.5 bet priced at 1.80 was a winner too. Gladbach were better at pretty much everything in this tie and had the ball over 60% of the 90 minutes. Before that tie they lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich (also here my prediction was correct as I tipped Gladbach+2.5 priced at 1.925. Gladbach looks much improved to me this season. The buy of Max Kruse was a good one, and they got a vast selection of young talent one season older and wiser.

Leverkusen was 18 points better last season, and Leverkusen is probably the better side of the two this time around as well. I don’t see them 18 points better than Gladbach in 2013/2014 though. Leverkusen has also been troubling a bit with Gladbach as we have to go back to January 2011 to find a Leverkusen win against them.

Last season it ended 1-1 at the Bay Arena. Leverkusen did run the game though and only an in-form Ter Stegen kept Gladbach in the game. In the reverse fixture it ended 3-3.
