BAYER LEVERKUSEN V WERDER BREMEN PREDICTIONS

Leverkusen are looking to stretch their lead over the chasing pack in the race to clinch 3^rd place and a guaranteed spot in the Champions League next season.  Bremen are still not safe at the bottom having been dragged closer to the relegation zone and need to pick up some points before the end of the season.

Leverkusen are 3^rd in the Bundesliga with 53 points from 30 matches which leaves them 8 points behind 2^nd place Dortmund.  They hold a 7 point lead over 4^th place Schalke though so their position is looking safe and a win here would make it even more likely.  They are undefeated in 4 games and won 5-0 against Hoffenheim last week so will have some confidence.

Werder Bremen are a disappointing 14^th in the table with 32 points from 30 matches.  They are now only 5 points ahead of the relegation playoff spot and 8 point above outright relegation.  They have not won a game in 9 matched, losing 5 and drawing 4, and are in real danger of going down if they don’t get a win before the end of the season.

Leverkusen have Omer Toprak suspended for this match while Bremen are expected to be missing Ignjovski, Ekici, Akpala and Fullkrug among others through injury.
