Dortmund were aiming for their 3^rd straight domestic title but being 11 points behind their opponents is a huge amount at this stage of the season.  They have improved a lot recently and are undefeated in 10 games in all competitions, 7 wins and a draw.  They may have to settle for 2^nd place this year and concentrate on getting as far as possible in the Champions League knockout stages where they will be seeded as group winners ahead of Real Madrid, Ajaz and Manchester City.
