HAMBURG - BORUSSIA DORTMUND PREDICTION STATS
Hamburg sit pointless at the bottom of Bundesliga with three losses. Losing 3-2 to Frankfurt and 2-0 at Werder Bremen and a 1-0 home loss to Nurnberg. They did however manage a remarkable 11-2 away victory in the DFB Cup but it was against lowly Oberliga side Niendorfer.Hamburg are averaging 2.67 goals per game.
Borussia Dortmund have made a solid start with two wins and 1 draw with a +4 goal difference. At home they have had a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen and a 3-0 win against Leverkusen. Away from home they dropped points in 1-1 over Nurnberg. Their goals per game average stands at the same 2.67.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Hamburg are struggling no doubt but the basis of a decent team is there. Confidence has been boosted with the arrival of new faces on deadline day, among them Rafael Van Der Vaart. Hamburg showed glimpses of quality to pull back a 2 goal defecit but still managed to lose the game. Manager Fink has a few injury problems with Petr Jiracek suspended, while Marcel Jansen moving to left-back in an attempt to shore up the backline. Jeffrey Bruma is 50/50.
Borussia Dortmund continue to knock down all challengers and Ajax where the latest team to be beaten by the Champions. One problem could be the challenging on two fronts, this is a new problem for Jurgen Klopp's men. Rotation could be effected her and may give Hamburg a glimmer of a chance. 4.44 on The Draw (Pinnacle) is the surprise selection here, This may seem an easy tie against a woefully out of sorts Hamburg side but I have a belief that Dortmund may find the home side fired up and battling for the 90 minutes. With Dortmund facing a tough schedule Klopp has hinted on changes and with Van der Vaart settling in a huge fantical support behind him the home side could sneak a point. The draw looks a massive price and for the away side to be as short as 1.52 at Hamburg gives the book a lopsided look.

Over 2.5 goals 1.77 (Pinnacle) is slightly favourite which comes as a shock as I had this down as a definate "overs" game. With Dortmund and Hamburg full of attacking talent and both sides capable of defensive generosity goals look certain in this match. Hamburg are changing the backline due to injury problems and Dortmund are sure to rotate so we may see some new faces. Attack is the order of the day here and with both teams averaging jsut over the 2.50 we should expect goals for sure.
