TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Werder Bremen have had a good start and will consider themselves on target for a top half finish. With the side looking to gel together they will have a tough task here to get anything from one of the best teams in Europe. Last time out they had to come from a goal behind to take all three points at SC Freiburg on Wednesday night and have only managed one clean sheet all season. This season was always likely to be a season of transisition. Bremen have no new injury worries and only real decision is wether to start with Nils Patersson or Joseph Akpala.
Bayern are in fantastic form and have opened the season with five wins from five. This with 17 goals scored and only 2 goals conceded. With such a huge squad packed to the brim with top level international players and also a wide variety of player type Bayern have the capability to go all the way. Bayern have been hit with a flu virus and rotation is forced on them. Thomas Muller, Franck Ribery and Holger Badstuber were all hit and look likely to sit out the game. David Alaba and Diego Contento and Mario Gomez are definately out, but such is Bayern's squad depth the level of players coming in means little dropin team quality.

1.55 Bayern Munich (Willhill) is the only selection here as Bayern are playing in a different stratosphere to there German opponents. Many years ago with was a championship decider but Bremen are a mid table side these days at best. Bayern do have a few injury problems but in will come a batch of fresh replacements who have the hunger to perform and its spells trouble for Bremen. Bayern Munich on the -1 handicap at 1.85 is the selection (Pinnacle) Bremen should not trouble a rampant Munich side and I expect win number 6 for Bayern. Its not looking good for The Bundesliga in that Bayern seem so far above their rivals that this years league looks like its going to be a procession. Werder do not have any players that can trouble their own rivals and a fighting performance is all they can expect. Bayern to win with several goals is very likely.

Over 2.5 goals 1.51 (Betfair) is a short price but games in Germany and involving Bayern especially are always over 2.50. The price to me seems a gift as Werder Bremen cannot expect to hold Bayern for any length of time and Bayern are more than capable of racking up a huge score of their own.
