Greuther are really struggling in the Bundesliga this year and sit 2^nd bottom with just 7 points from 10 matches.  They have only won a single match, drawing 4 and losing 5.   They have drawn their last 3 matches but need to begin finding wins if they are to move off the bottom of the table.  Their last 5 games have seen an average of 2.4 goals per game and just 1 finished with over 2.5 goals.

Gladbach are having a poor season by their standards and are currently in 11^th position with 13 points from 10 matches.  They have an even record of 3 wins, 3 losses and 4 draws and their last 5 matches have seen 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw.  Their games have averaged 3.6 goals over the past 5 and 3 have finished with over 2.5 goals.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Greuther won the 2.Bundesliga last season to win promotion to the top league this year.  They will be hoping to survive this year and begin to build as a top flight team but it is looking very difficult already.  They are only 3 points off safety but the teams above them have more quality through their squads and it will take huge effort for them to outperform the existing Bundesliga sides.

Gladbach had really high hopes coming into the season.  First starting with the Champions League, their 4^th place finish last year took them into the final qualifying round but a loss to Dynamo Kiev ruined that goal and they had to settle for a Europa League spot.  Their attention then turned to the Bundesliga where they were hoping to match their 4^th place finish last season or even improve upon it.  Again this goal seems to be failing as they already find themselves 14 points off the leaders and 5 points off 4^th place.  The amount of money Gladbach spent in the summer should really have been enough to improve the squad, over €30m worth of talent was brought in albeit with one of their top players being sold in Marco Reus.  The replacements including Luuk de Jong and Granit Xhaka should have been enough to keep performances high but it doesn’t seem to have worked so far.

Despite being the new boys in the league, Greuther are favourites for this clash as the home team.  Their squad has been bought for a fraction of the amount Gladbach have spent and individually you have to say Gladbach are the better side but as we know this isn’t all that counts in football.

I agree the under here seems more likely and will be looking at Betsson who are offering 1.78 on Under 2.5 Goals
