Greuther are bottom of the Bundesliga with 12 points from 20 matches.  This leaves them 4 points from the relegation playoff place and 11 points from safety.  Their survival this season is looking very precarious.  They are coming off a very strong win away at Schalke last week which was totally unexpected so that will give them some confidence that they can get a result here.

Wolfsburg are in 15^th place themselves with 23 points form 15 matches.  This is a big disappointment for them as they were hoping to be much higher this season.  They have a relatively large lead of 7 points over the relegation playoff place so would expect to be safe but a few poor games could see them too close for comfort.
