Here are two teams who feel they are still in the running for the final Champions League spot if they can put a run of wins together but neither has been in good recent form and the place is slipping away from them.

Hamburger are 9^th in the Bundesliga with 38 points from 27 matches which leaves them 1 point off a Europa League spot and 4 points off the final Champions League spot.  They have struggled lately with just 1 win in their last 5 matches and were hammered 9-2 by Bayern Munich in their last match.  They must put that game behind them and realise if they can put a few wins together they are right back into the fight for Europe.

Freiburg are 7^th in the Bundesliga with 39 points from 27 matches.  They are even closer to Schalke in the final Champions League spot, just 3 points back.  They picked up their first win in 5 last week with a 2-0 home win over Gladbach but if they want to get back to the top 4 position they held a few months ago then they’ll need to put a run of wins together.
