MAINZ 05 V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT PREDICTIONS

Mainz have fallen out the fight for a European place but will be keen to hold onto a top half finish.  Frankfurt are still in the hunt for the final Champions League spot but it is a very tough fight.

Mainz are 9^th in the Bundesliga with 39 points from 30 matches which leaves them 6 points behind a Europa League place.  They were in the hunt for a top 6 finish but 3 straight defeats and no wins in 5 games have really took the steam out of their season.  They are now just 2 points ahead of 13^th place Wolfsburg and if their form continues for the remaining 4 matches they could end up down there.

Frankfurt are 6^th in the Bundesliga and in the final Europa League spot.  They have 45 points from 30 games which leaves them just 1 point behind 4^th place Schalke who they beat last week.  It was a very important win and kept their Champions League hopes alive, if they can win this game they’d have a great chance of finishing 4^th.

Mainz are missing Choupo-Moting, Bungert, Kirchhoff, Ede and Klasnic through injury while Frankfurt are without Schwegler, Kittel Trapp and Kempf through injury and Zambrano is suspended.
