MAINZ 05 V HAMBURGER SV PREDICTIONS

Here are two midtable Bundesliga sides who are looking to go on a late season run and secure a European place for next season but it will take a drastic increase in the quality of performance.

Mainz are 8^th in the Bundesliga with 39 points from 28 matches which puts them just 3 points off a Europa League place and 6 points off the final Champions League spot.  They had been on a good run of form being undefeated in 7 games but lost last week 2-1 at Nurnberg.  They need to get back to winning ways here to keep the pressure on the top 6.

Hamburger are 11^th in the table with 38 points from 28 games and just 4 points off the Europa League spots.  They have been in terrible form however with 3 straight defeats, including two home matches.  They really need to turn things around quickly if they have any chance of getting back into the top half and fighting for a Euro spot.

Mainz are missing Marco Caligiuri among others with injury and Hamburg have Beister suspended and Berg injured among their 1^st team starters.
