Mainz (12-5-8) have became late challengers for an unlikely Champions league berth following an excellent run of just one defeat in their last eleven. The acid test of their credentials will be tested here, but they could provide Bayern with a proper test, something not too many sides have been able to do this season. That said, Bayern (23-2-0) winners of their last seventeen Bundesliga matches, operate ten notches above the rest of Bundesliga it seems, and it is difficult to see them dropping another point up to the end of the season the way things are going.

Yes, Mainz are in good form, but against Bayern expect them to perish the way everybody else has, and succumb to the inevitable.
