SCHALKE 04 V BAYER LEVERKUSEN PREDICTIONS

The pick of this week’s games in the Bundesliga sees 3^rd place Leverkusen travel to 4^th place Schalke in a match that will be very important in the race for Champions League spots for next season.

Schalke are 4^th in the Bundesliga with 45 points from 28 matches which gives them a 3 point lead over the chasing pack for the final Champions League spot.  They are 4 points back of Leverkusen in 3^rd so a win here would take them to within a point.  Schalke have 5 of their last 6 league matches to pull ahead of the other teams in the race for 4^th.

Leverkusen will be missing Omer Toprak through injury while Schalke have a vast list including Barnetta, Jones, Unnerstall, Afellay, Papadopoulos and Huntelaar.  It shows how good their winning run has been with all these players missing.
