AJAX - RODA : PREDICTIONS

Netherlands Eridivisie tonight and a massive opening game, its Ajax v Roda at Amsterdam Arena.

Ajax are one the most successful sides in Netherlands and won their 32^nd title last year. That makes three out of the last four years for who were going through a lean period prior to that.  The side is back to its best and is really beginning to find the young talent from Europe and further afield. Playing attractive, attacking football Ajax will do well again domestically and in Europe. Players lost this season include winger Derk Boerrigter. Incoming are Spanish forward Bojan Krkic on loan from Barcelona; Defender Mike van der Hoorn and German forward Marvin Hone. Everyone is looking to see how Bojan gets on as so far he has failed to spark at Barce or Roma. Ajax are short priced league favourites and can be backed for the league at around 2.20.

Roda are one of the smaller sides in Netherlands Eridivisie and cannot be expected to challenge or compete with the bigger sides.  Outright league quotes of 1000-1 sum up the chances of the side from Kerkrade. The side had to endure a relegation playoff last time out and the signs point towards a better season this time out.  Coach Ruud Brood (really!) has tried to improve the squad with a number of signings. Incoming include defenders Kees Luijckx, Ard van Peppen, Guy Ramos and Henk Dijkhuizen; Moroccan midfielder Anouar Kali; Midfielder Marc Hocher and Midfielder Roly Bonevacia. Bonevacia from Ajax may be the pick of the bunch but remains to be seen whether Roda can really improve.

AJAX - RODA: BETTING TIPS

Ajax are always restrictively priced when playing sides outside the big three. Quotes of 1.12 (1-8) are not going to make you rich but they do tend to steamroller through these “lesser” sides.
