AZ V PSV PREDICTIONS  

It is time for a big game at the Rotterdam Kuip with this KNVB Beker final.

A few weeks ago, Jozy Altidore's double has seen AZ Alkmaar stun Ajax to set up a clash with PSV Eindhoven in the final. In a dramatic conclusion to the match in Amsterdam, Altidore scored twice in the last 16 minutes to help AZ to a 3-0 win over Ajax. In the league, they are sitting in a disappointing 10^th position but they remain on two 4-0 wins over Heerenveen and Zwolle. That will give them some useful confidence before this clash.

In their semi-final, PSV had little trouble in their clash with newly promoted club PEC Zwolle, as Juergen Locadia struck a hat-trick in the 3-0 win. After finishing 2^nd in the Eredivisie, behind rivals Ajax, PSV are now aiming to end up this season on a great note with a win in this cup. PSV won 4 of their last 5 games with 17 goals scored in those last 5. They are doing very well but will have to be a bit more solid defensively in this final.

PSV’s key players such as Lens and Mertens (both with15 goals in Eredivisie) and captain Van Bommel are in great shape. Dick Advocaat also said that it was a major prize to claim. There is no doubt that they will not think about their 2^nd spot in the league.
