GHANA V CAPE VERDE ISLANDS PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

First quarter-final of the African Cup of Nations between group “B” winners Ghana and the second place finishers of group “A” Cape Verde Islands.  This is their fourth clash ever, Ghana have won all of the previous meetings with a total score of 7-0. Cape Verde Islands will have a tough task to overcome the superior Ghana at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Ghana been looking strong since their opening game even though they only got a draw against Congo DR after losing their 2-0 lead in the second half. Cape Verde Islands finished second in their group after South Africa. They won one game and drew two games.  The debutants Cape Verde made history when they came from a goal down to beat Angola 2-1 on Sunday in their last group “A” fixture. They managed to score two really late goals in the 81^st and 90^th minute against Angola, trailing 0-1 after an own goal in the 33^rd minute. Cape Verde had hosts South Africa to thank for drawing 2-2 with Morocco in the other group fixture to secure their spot in the quarter-finals.
