SOUTH AFRICA V MALI PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
Second quarter-final in African Cup of Nations between group “A” winners South Africa and second place finisher in Group “B” Mali. This is their second clash ever, first time they met Mali won in the quarter-finals 2002.
South Africa won their group after one win and two draws. They managed to draw against Morocco in their last battle to secure a quarter-final spot. Morocco opened really good and capitalized on a mistake by the South African goalkeeper in the 10th minute, El Adoua scored with a header on a corner kick from A.Barrada. South African keeper looked lost the entire game to be honest. The game went back and forth with three very late goals in the 71st, 82nd and 86th minute for a final score of 2-2. Lehlonholo Majoro is back from an injury he sustained against Angola. Their regular starter Anele Ngongca is suspended due to many yellow cards. They will have a much faster right side than Mali who plays very slow pace on their left wing and I think it’s there they will have their success tomorrow.
Mali managed to secure a second place spot in their group after one win, one draw and one loss. They looked really good at the start of the tournament but in my opinion they just been worse and worse since their first win against Niger. Mali has a full and healthy squad at least. The former FC Barcelona player Seydou Keita once again needs to show the way in the offensive department. He also talked to the reporters about the crises in Mali:
"This qualification will also give a lot of joy to our country. Giving hope to the country has been priceless. There is a crisis in Mali and I did my best to give hope to those who are suffering. We have made an effort to help, but money doesn't matter. You can't imagine what it means to play for Mali at this time. I told my government they could reduce our bonuses. My priority is to play for my country."
So bet they will come and fight for the semi-final spot even though they are the underdogs.
SOUTH AFRICA V MALI PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW
Even though Mali will come prepared and ready for the South Africans I believe it won’t be enough. They have a lot of pressure and haven’t perform lately, they started good but been worse and worse lately. South Africa had some issues with their defence in the last game against Morocco but their offensive looks rock solid. Bafana Bafana’s home crowd almost demands a win here and I think they actually will pull this one off. South Africa is the better team and deserves our attention here.
Back South Africa at 2.30 with Betsson for the win.
