Ajax v Real Madrid predictions and preview: Betting Stats
Ajax is unbeaten in the Eresdivisie so far with 4-3-0 in seven tries. Four out of seven has ended over 2.5 goals, but only three out of their last six home games however have yielded over 2.5. Since (and including) 2008 they have played eight home games in the Champions League. They have managed to win only three of those. Five of these eight games have been over 2.5 goals. They opened their CHL campaign away to Dortmund. They lost the game 1-0, but enjoyed 56% of the posession, and could easily have gotten more out of that game. Four out of their last six competitive away games have ended over 2.5 goals. Real Madrid are 3-1-2 in their first six games of the Primera. Out of these, half of them ended over 2.5 goals. In their last six competitive home games they have won five times. Out of these six four games ended over 2.5 goals. In the Champions League Real has won four out of their last six away games. Three out of those six games were over 2.5 goals. Real Madrid won a hard fought battle at the Santiago Bernabéu in their Champions League opener. Real enjoyed 56% of the posession and had seventeen shots on target versus their opponent; Manchester City's five. The teams met last year in the Champions League as well. Real Madrid won this fixture 3-0.
Team News and Run of Play
Real Madrid will field a highly competitive side. No worries in camp Madrid. For Ajax Thulani Sereno will be out. The South African midfielder has had a good start to the season and gotten a bit of game time. Enoh is still out of midfield action as well. The talented Islandic striker Sigthórsson is also out (again). In general this means there is little influential news out of camp Ajax as well. Real Madrid is well known to all I believe, I will not spend too much time discussing their squad. It's fantastic, and it's as simple as that. Ajax looks like they're rebuilding with purpose. Always a selling club they rely on developing fresh talent. This season is no different. They field a side full of youngsters. Only Poulsen (danish) is on the wrong side of 30. The side is fluent and can handle the ball well. Up front they also got some power and pace to support the more technical side of their game in ex-LFC man Ryan Babel. With is 25 years of age, he is to be considered a veteran in this squad of Ajax players.
Real Madrid coach Mourinho is probably going into this game with a game plan of letting Ajax play, then hit them hard on the counter utilizing the massive Real Madrid attacking potential to it's fullest. That said; he may also want to dictate the pace of the game more, and try to run over the Dutch. Then when he feels the job is done his team can fall deeper and go for the counter attacks strategy. Either way; he can tweak and tune his Real Madrid machinery as he sees fit and necessary.
Ajax will not only have to be at their best to restrain this Real Madrid side that finally has gotten under way in the Spanish League as well after a poor opening by their standards. They will have to be better than that. They were on par with Dortmund in their first game, but could not convert. Defensively they were quite okay. Against the likes of Ronaldo, Higuain, Benzema, Di Maria and Kaka (whoever plays) they will have to have the game of their lives. The very young Ajax defence will have a handful, that's for sure. It's a massive test, and yet another massive shopping window for players and club alike.
Ajax can either lay down deep or try to play their usual game. Out of those two options I think they are too focused on their own style and will go for the latter. They may get away with that against Dortmund, but against the possibly best team in Europe. Nopes, sorry; I don't think so!
Ajax - Real Madrid predictions: 1x2 betting preview
No matter how former player (now Ajax coach) de Boer work at the game plan he is outplayed before his thoughts even hit the notepad he uses. Even if Ajax should get a lucky break, or surprise the visitors going all-in early, thereby going up to 1-0 or even 2-0 there is too much to this Real Madrid side. They can come back, and they have proven they will (Against Manchester City). My bet is 1.43 Real Madrid, and I take odds from Betsson this time.
If you agree with my analysis you can go to Betsson and take this really good odds before it drops.
Ajax v Real Madrid predictions: Asian Handicap preview
I think that Mourinho wants to see continuation from the Man City and the Deportivo La Coruna games. Now that the Real Madrid engine is again roaring it is very important to keep it going. Poor Ajax, that could easily mean a humiliation is in store. Therefore I look for a wider Asian Handicap than I normally would in the Champions League for an away game. 2.33 with Pinnacle Sports for Real Madrid - 1.5 looks juicy and I will sink my teeth into it.
2.33 with Pinnacle Sports is found here

Ajax vs Real Madrid predictions: Total Goals preview
It is pretty obvious what I am going to say here, isn't it? Even if Ajax has shown great promise defending lately I can't help but think their very young defence will get a horror night this Wednesday. Real Madrid alone are capable of banging in three goals just for show. Given my earlier analysis I think they will be very eager to get that show going. Ajax aswell can hit on the break or be allowed possession later on in the game after Mourinho and his squad are happy with the score line. I do take over 2.5 goals, and I do it with a good degree of confidence. The best odds i can find for you is 1.546 with Pinnacle Sports.
