Aktobe of Kazakhstan won both legs of their first qualifying round against Tbilisi of Georgia, going through 4-0 on aggregate. This is their fifth time in Champions league and they have yet to lose a home tie with five wins and two draws, and it will be no easy game for the more illustrious opposition. Twenty one games into the league season, Aktobe sit top again and will know that they must make the most of the home advantage ahead of a tough trip to Romania for the second leg. Steaua Bucharest is a famous old European name, and they reached the group stages of this competition last year. They kicked off this years challenge by beating Stromsgodset of Norway 3-0, winning both legs, and began the new domestic season with a good away win at the weekend. They will fancy themselves strongly to go through over two legs here, but know that a tough test awaits them in Kazakhstan for this first leg.
