On the face of it you would fancy Roma to beat BATE Borisov most times but the Romans arrive in Belarus hit by injuries. BATE were beaten on day 1 in Germany 4-1 to show how they could struggle in this group. However against the teams not named Barcelona I think they will do ok at home in the section. BATE will miss midfielder Aleksandr Hleb plus forward Vitali Rodionov. They are flying in the Belarussian league and are 12 ahead of 2nd place Dinamo Minsk. Roma flew here without the injured key men of Dzeko, Totti and Seydou Keita. They have a few further worries too with Alessandro Florenzi and winger Iago Falque not rated fully fit and keeper Szczesny not recovered from a hand injury. Roma played well last match to hold Barcelona 1-1 and will need to win here you would think to have a chance of qualifying. Not something that is easy for sure.
We side with BATE Borisov at +0.75 on Asian handicap. We get BATE and the draw here as we think Roma will struggle without their key men. If Roma win by 1 we get half stake return.
Bet BATE Borisov +0.75 at 1.82 with Pinnacle.
