Bayern are in an unusual position as the go into a game on the back of a heavy defeat. They were beaten 3-1 in Portugal by a very upbeat and high tempo Porto. Bayern were without wing wizards Robben and Ribery and had few options after a spate of injuries. Of the players missing from last week only Schweinsteiger is able to take a place on the pitch. Bayern must win by two clear goals. I feel they are more than capable of doing it and have no hesitation in backing them. You can get around 1.80 for them “to qualify” but I feel we can get better odds on the “win to nil” – with Bayern needing to win by 2 clear goals I think the 2-0 is more likely than say the 3-1 or 4-2. For me Bayern will be a bit more patient that normal and will have total respect for the Porto side who played so well last week. Porto have lost both full backs to suspension and that is a massive blow. Danilo and Alex Sandro both miss out. This selection seems popular as some bookmakers are already cutting the price! Bet now.
