An amazing first leg performance by Kiev should see them safely through to the Champions League Group Stage after a 3-1 win away to Borussia Monchengladbach. We will preview the second leg and give predictions on the betting markets.
Gladbach started the first leg well and took an early lead through their midfielder Alexander Ring but that was as good as it got for the home side. Dynamo went level in the 27th minute and were 2-1 ahead before half time. You would have expected the away side to sit on their lead and try and hang on but it was actually they who got the only goal of the second half capping a fine display by Kiev and putting them well ahead in the tie.
Gladbach have nothing to lose in the return leg and know they need to score 3 goals at a minimum, we will see whether Kiev have the quality to contain them and hold onto their first leg lead.
Total Goals
Surprisingly for me Under 2.5 goals is favourite against the over and is priced at 1.9 at 188bet. The Over is 2.04 which I feel is high for a game where one team has to go allout attacking to have any hope.
Asian Handicap
Dynamo are favourites for tonight’s match unsurprisingly and the handicap is set at Kiev -0.5 @ 1.85 with Gladbach +0.5 @ 2.09. If Gladbach have to attack from the start then they will leave space behind that the excellent Kiev forward line can exploit.
