CHELSEA V NORDSJAELLAND PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Chelsea are 3^rd in the EPL with 26 points from 15 games, winning 7, drawing 5 and losing 3.  They have scored 1.67 goals per game while conceding 1.07 for a total goal difference of +9.  Their recent form has been terrible with 3 defeats and 2 draws in their last 5 matches, with an aggregate score of 2-8.  In the Champions League they are3rd in the group with 7 points from 5 games and need to hope Juventus lose against Shakhtar to go through.

Nordsjaelland are 2^nd in the Danish SuperLiga with 35 points from 19 matches.  They have won 10, drawn 5 and lost 4 while scoring 1.89 goals per game and conceding 0.89.  They have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 5 matches with an aggregate score of 9-8.  In the Champions League they have just 1 point after 5 matches and will finish bottom of the group.

Chelsea’s fate is out of their hands as a draw in Donetsk between Shakhtar and Juventus will see both those sides go through with Chelsea finishing 3^rd.  All they can do is beat Nordsjaelland and hope for things to go their way in the other match.

Chelsea really need a win as they have had a run of 6 matches now without a win, and under new manager Rafa Benitez they have drawn 2 and lost 1.  This isn’t good enough for a club who expect to be winning trophies and who spent over €100m net in the summer.
