Real Madrid is trailing, and need to win at least 3-0 or by four if Dortmund scores. Obviously Real Madrid will give it a go. Dortmund will fall back and defend, then launch poisonous counter attacks led by Gotze, Reus and Lewandowski. This does have goals written all over it. However, I do feel the market has gone bonkers. The 3.5 goal line is on offer at 1.875 from BET365. If we convert this to percent the odds are theoretically profitable if we assume it is over 53.33% likelyhood of the game going under 3.5 goals.

There is a whole lot of random to this, and a lot will come down to what happens on the pitch in the first half. If Real scores early I think our odds have worsened. This is probably true also if Dortmund scores early, but it is less certain in my opinion. If no goal is scored inside of the first 20 minutes I really like the bet. 

That both Real and Dortmund has a lot of firepower going forward is not new. The real question is how well can Dortmund defend. In the quarter final, away to Malaga they managed a 0-0 draw (in an overall evenly matched quarter final), so sure, they can do it.

I think the market has overreacted to the "many goals theme", and that there is some value to be had on the Under 3.5 line. After all, there are plenty of scenarios that could happen going in our favor. However, this bet is not for those of you with a weak heart. Chances will be plentiful!
