HAITI - HONDURAS : PREDICTIONS

Concacaf Gold Cup action continues with an interesting tie in Group B.  Harrison is the venue for Haiti v Honduras.

Haiti are on a terrible run of form, without a win at all in 2013. In 6 games they have only managed 1 draw (a decent result though, 2-2 with Italy) The other five games were all lost, although the opposition level was quite high with Spain, Bolivia and Chile among the top sides faced.  Defeats were to be expected against those teams but losses to lower ranked sides Dominican Republic and Oman were poor.  Haiti are ranked the 6^th best side in the confederation but will do well to get out of a really balanced group.

Honduras have had mixed results in a busy 2013, winning 3 drawing 3 and losing 5. Jamaica, USA and Belize were all defeated on home soil.  The Honduran side are a really difficult prospect at home ground and few teams come away with victories there. As this game is on US soil of more interest to us is away ties for Honduras, this however is where results are less impressive.  In five games outside the country they drew 1 and lost 4.

HAITI - HONDURAS: BETTING TIPS

Honduras are ranked only slightly better than Haiti in the world rankings but in truth there is a big gap in quality.  Both sides have not been in the best of form of late but Honduras have looked more impressive. One worry is this being a very close group the games may be nervier, with teams more afraid to drop points than try to win them. I take Honduras (1.67 WillHill) to take this game with a low scoring win.
